We have never shied away from firmly stating where we stand on the many issues that our world has recently faced. In light of recent events in which the current Russian regime has made the decision to move forward with its attacks and invasion of Ukraine, this is not a time to start. 

While the invasion and battle of Ukraine has just started, the Ukrainian people have long dealt with the battle for their country with the impending war looming over them. 

We stand alongside the people of Ukraine in their resistance to the Russian forces. We stand alongside them as they fight for the self-governing rights of their country. We stand alongside them in their resistance to the Russian invasion. We stand with them in their fight for democracy!

The perseverance the Ukrainians have displayed to the adversities placed in front of them are commendable but are challenges no self-governing nation should have to go through in our current times. 

We also acknowledge that the actions of the Russian government are not the actions of all of the Russian people. We stand by and applaud the thousands of Russians who continue to protest President Putin’s despotism to continue to take a stand against his actions, despite the repercussions. 

We recognize that war is not the action of all people, but a select few. Unfortunately, all people deal with the consequences. We hope for peace, safety, and freedom for all who are resisting President Putin’s repression. 

We thank the people of Ukraine as they display determination and camaraderie for their nation, and for the world around them. Their actions impact not only them, but their neighboring counties, and all of us in the opposition to this attempted annexation.
