Why did you decide to join flexEngage?
It was incredibly clear to me during the interview process that flexEngage is genuinely focused on employee happiness. They view People Operations as a strategic partner that can add value to their biggest asset – their employees. Additionally, the team has so much passion for their products and for the future, and that excitement is contagious!
What are you most excited about at flexEngage?
I can’t wait to meet everyone! There are some big initiatives on my plate and every one of them will impact employee satisfaction in some way. I’m ready!
Can you give us a run-down of your previous experience?
I’ve worked in Human Resources for 17 years, in several different industries. I started in Recruiting, and worked my way into an HR Generalist role, which gave me solid experience in each of the HR disciplines. From Onboarding, to Benefits, to Performance Management, Payroll, Org Development, Employee Relations, Process Improvement, and Compliance, I’ve been able to do a lot! The best piece of professional advice I’ve ever received is to value progress; not perfection. These words have been crucial to my success.
What are some of your hobbies outside of work?
I have a teenager and a pre-teen, so currently, my hobbies include chauffeuring, doing lots of laundry, and grocery shopping. 😉 I also love to read!
What’s a random fact/talent about yourself?
Prior to working in HR, I was a NYS Licensed Funeral Director.
