Largest Digital Receipts Provider releases Merchant Portal version 3.3

Latest update from flexReceipts provides retailers with greater control over receipt content and richer customer metrics

ORLANDODecember 2, 2015 —flexReceipts, the leading provider of enhanced digital receipts, today announced its new Merchant Portal, the interface through which retailers can configure and manage their own custom e-receipts. The update includes 125 updates and is the result of months of work to meet the wants and needs of retailers.

“Our clients asked, and we answered,” said Jay Patel, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of flexReceipts. “These new features will give merchants the ability to understand what drives their customers, keeping them coming into stores and, ultimately, increasing revenues.”

At the center of this latest release are two major new features: Surveys and Marketing Management. Together, these features grant retailers more control over digital receipt content and access to more customer insights than ever before.

The Surveys feature allows merchants to attach consumer feedback surveys to each e-receipt to garner customer feedback.  The feature appears on the receipt as a simple pair of satisfaction face icons: customers may click a smiling face icon if they were satisfied with their experience, or a frowning face icon if they were dissatisfied. Clicking on either of these reveals a full consumer survey with different questions depending on the icon clicked.

The surveys follow a five-star rating system, with default questions covering waiting time, customer service, employee friendliness and overall experience, as well as space for comments or complaints. Retailers can also include their own custom questions and assign different survey templates for different stores.

The Marketing Management feature gives retailers the ability to target custom integrated marketing materials to different segments of customers. Within the Merchant Portal, a retailer can create consumer segments based on items bought, amount spent, demographics and various other metrics. The retailer can then show customers the offers, ads or promotions that are most likely to catch their interest via marketing campaigns with set start and end dates.

Both features include extensive metrics, allowing retailers to see exactly how well their efforts are working and make decisions on how to better engage their customers. This includes open and click rates for surveys and marketing materials.
